Heavy duty pancake frypan for restaurant chefs and chefs-at-home.

10-2/3” in diameter - Almost 2.5 lbs - Made in France by DeBuyer since 1830.

For all heat sources, including INDUCTION.

For your perfect pancakes or blinis!

This Mineral B cookware must be seasoned before its first use. Seasoning a pot is easy:

Unwrap it, rinse off the excess of beeswax with hot water, wipe it dry, and heat it to medium high heat with oil (preferably grapeseed oil) in it. Leave on medium high heat for 5-10 minutes, depending on the heat source. The pot will darken to a goldish color. Be careful, hot oil can cause burns. Let it cool, and wipe off the excess of oil with a paper towel. Your pot is ready for its first use.

Your pancake frypan will lose its sheen, and the more you use it, the more it will lose its sheen. It is perfectly normal. It will soon look like a restaurant frypan. That is what it is supposed to look like. It will get more and more brown, and the more brown, the more non-stick.

To preserve the natural finish and the natural non-stick properties, do not use strong detergents, and never put it in the dishwasher.

A note from Coco:

The Mineral B Element frypan is 100% iron, a natural mineral material. It is coated with an organic beeswax-based protective finish, therefore it is:

PFOA free and PTFE free (PerFluoroOctanoic Acid and PolyTetraFluoroEthylene compound are both currently used in a lot of nonstick cookware on the market today).

This particular feature means a lot to me. It means that I do not have to worry about chemical contamination when I use the Mineral B Element cookware by DeBuyer. No chemicals are added to their manufactured Mineral B line.
